Student Success Statement

"Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there."

-Bo Jackson

To me this quote is telling us to never give up on our goals. To always set them high and put effort until we get that goal. You need to be committed to it and put time into it. It doesn't matter if it takes you a long time to achieve your goal, the whole point is to not give up and reach that goal.

"The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envisiion the fact that you can do something you can do it- as long as you really believe 100 percent."

-Arnold Schwarzegger

To me this quote means that you achieve anything you desire as long as you set a goal and commit to it 100 percent. It may not be easy or fun but you're striving for the outcome. Plus you will be stronger at the end when you finish. You will give yourself confidence and set greater goals in the future. I remember a time when I was really frustrated of not being able to run better in cross country but I kept on training until I had the mental capacity to be fully committed to a run.

Student Success Statement

"You can't put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get."

-Michael Phelps
22 Olympic Medals (18 gold)

This quote means to me that there is no limit for anything you wish to accomplish. The more effort and time you put into something, the more closer you will get to your goal. If you dream of doing something, you can get farther into it by working your way up to that accomplishment. For example, if I want to graduate from high school, I must work really hard throughout the years in order to get there and graduate.

"Try a little harder to be a little better."
-Gordon B. Hinckley

To me this quote is saying that in order to succeed and become better at something, we need to work hard,  put effort and our time to it the develop what we want. If we put effort to it is like taking little steps, and that would lead us to a long distance. For example, when i was in 9th grade I was struggling to pass my classes, but I started going to tutoring and studying more and more and to I became better and now i have no problem passing my classes.

-Thomas J Watson

To me this quote means that if you want to achieve to excellence, you must start now and not wait till it is too late. All you need to do if choose the right decision and your life can change. It is also saying that you must quit the poor lack of effort. You must not do anything thats less-than-excellence, you must put more effort and go above that.

"It's not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference."
-Paul Bear Bryant

To me this quote means that it doesn't matter if you get the win, what matters is all the time you put in in practice that prepared you to get that win. For example, if you want a house to be built  good and perfect, you will need to have the right material and tools to built that house.

"Righteous community unity starts with ONE upright soul, whether it is a community of family members, students, neighbors, teamates, or business associates. Unity conquers worthy pursuits more quickly and with less effort then individual effort alone."
-Mr. Haymore

Steve Haymore

This quote is telling me that it is better for us to work with others than to work alone to get something accomplished. Working alone can be hard and would require more effort and more ideas to get something done. If you work with others, things would be easier because everyone would bring their ideas together. I agree with the quote because by personal experience, we do get things done better as a team. For example, in a soccer team they all work together to get the win as a team.
