Cowardice asks the question ' Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question 'Is it politic?' Vanity asks the question 'Is it popular?'
But, conscience ask the question, 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because one's conscience tells one that it is right.

-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I think this quote is very important and historic. In this quote he is trying to say that no matter how unpopular or dangerous a decisions, if it's the right one, you should take it. He is saying that your conscience is always right. Do what you have to do no matter how many people disagree with you. For example if you want to accomplish something and you have all these people telling you negative stuff, ignore then and accomplish what you want and prove them wrong.

Some of the reward you'll have is Self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self-esteem because you will feel respect for yourself knowing that you did was right. For example, if I do something that i know is right, i will have good self-esteem because i know i did something good even though other will not see it the same.
