They have to preform as a team to provide living and self-care skills for the patients. They also design therapy programs to observe their patients and help them progress. They also teach their patients how to adjust themselves to their work and home life after becoming disabled by injury or illness.

If you want to become a occupational therapist, during your high school years you should take challenging courses in math, science and English.
