Duties and Responsibilities:
A Psychiatric Aide is a physician who specializes with
problems of mental illness. They do different kinds of treatments and sometimes
write prescriptions. You can work for the government, have your own private
practice, work in hospitals, clinics, or universities. Some of the duties that
come included are designing treatment programs, conducting psychotherapy
sessions, prescribe mental illness drugs and supervise electrotherapy
treatments.
Salary: $90,000 - $200,000
Education:
In addition to completing the requirements for a degree in
allopathic or osteopathic medicine,
psychiatrists must complete an intensive three year residency in
psychiatry.
Reflection:
I don’t think I would like to become a Psychiatric Aide
because it doesn't really catch my attention.
